• Chicago Tribume says that due to new Padre ownership, Jake Peavy may not be getting traded after all.  Great news for Peavy owners.

• Mariners signed Chad Cordero.  The M's are the only team where this is an improvement to their bullpen.  Watch his health closely

• ESPN says the Dodgers are eying Pedro Martinez for the back of their rotation.
